Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Console Operator will include:
- Compensation (Range): 17 - 19 / hour
- This role is located/based in Charlotte and all candidates submitted must be able to work onsite.
- First 4-6 weeks: Candidates must be able to train on 1st shift. All workers will start on the first shift and will be assigned to shift and days post ~1 month training.
- 1st shift - 6am - 2pm
- 2nd shift - 2pm to 10pm
- 3rd shift - 10pm to 6am
- Days: Mon-Fri, Tue-Sat, Wed-Sun
- Enterprise Security Command Center (ESCC) Console Operators to provide optimum security services to the entire client footprint.
- Console Operators will be responsible for monitoring electronic security systems involving alarm panels, intrusion detection, video cameras, badge verification, and general access control.
- In addition, Operators will also be tasked with providing gate access and associated validation, receiving and reacting to large call volume, regulatory requirements, maintaining enterprise situational awareness and other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for ensuring the safety of employees and property by monitoring and responding to alarms in a prescribed manner.
- Maintain accurate accounts of events, create reports, gain detailed information and answer questions.
- Perform data entry in multiple data bases; follow established procedures.
- Assist in general administrative work and other miscellaneous duties.
- Perform basic investigative functions to include video review, follow up interviews and report writing. Perform customer and client facing functions to include; use of mass notification tool, Corporate Communication notifications, incident management notifications, delegated shift administrative duties.
Job Requirements
- Minimum, high school diploma or GED with 5 years experience working in a Security Operations Center, Dispatcher capacity or Law Enforcement or 5 years technical support experience with physical access control systems such as AMAG Symmetry.
- Preferred, relevant college degree (Criminal Justice, Criminology) 3-5 years experience working in a Security Operations Center, Dispatcher capacity or Law Enforcement or 3-5 years technical support experience with physical access control systems such as AMAG Symmetry.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to multitask, proficient computer and MS Office suite skills.
- Must be willing to work a rotating/flexible schedule - weekends, holidays, evenings.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must be highly dependable, stay calm in stressful situations, strong attention to detail.
- Further, must maintain a high level of confidentiality dealing with incidents and security techniques.
