Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Wholesale Planner will include:
- Direct Hire- Wholesale Planner
- Pay- 85-88/k
- Alpharetta. GA
- The Wholesale Planner position is responsible for national inventory and order management; as well as development of future ordering platforms to support achievement of monthly U.S. retail and wholesale objectives for the Powersports business unit. Independent and critical thinking, along with high-value decision-making is expected to make recommendations and provide direction to 4 Zone Managers and 31 District Sales Managers (including policy setting and exception decisions).
- Regular execution and administration of all ordering platforms
- This position and will be responsible for overseeing regular dealer ordering activities including monthly Order Guarantees, monthly AIR Orders, Open Order opportunities, and other periodic or ad hoc orders/allocation periods. After each ordering activity they will report on results to Sales management.
- Strategic planning and coordination with other departments to achieve Wholesale targets
- This position will meet multiple times a week with other departments to identify supply that's available to wholesale immediately, strategize on how the most effective way to wholesale future incoming supply, and monitor outstanding dealer orders and create countermeasures as needed to ensure timely fulfilment.
- Development and administration of future ordering platforms to align with market needs
- This position will be the project lead for development of two new dealer ordering systems. This development will require cross departmental collaboration, as well as coordination with outside vendors. Once the new ordering systems are launched, there will be continued responsibilities for order system maintenance, including market monitoring and regular allocation logic adjustments.
- This is still a little bit future considering we do not have the first step complete. We know that things are changing quickly, and we need to be more responsive to what our dealer need. We will start with an ordering platform to kick this off, but then we will need to be proactive to look for what is next and what best helps us and our dealer to ultimately achieve our WS and RTL objectives.
- Maintain supply reserves for department inventory and new dealer setup needs
- Regular reporting on ordering performance and ordering platform enhancements
- Determine models for all ordering opportunities to meet embargo timing and wholesale/retail plans.
- Determine needed adjustments to monthly allocation logic based on market and AHM business needs
- Identify gaps in supply to fulfil order needs and recommend factory purchase order deployment adjustments to Seihan Planning.
- Identify gaps in warehouse supply balance in the network to meet changes in demand and recommend Seihan Planning.
- Ensure supply is in place to meet department inventory needs.
- Identify gaps in current ordering systems based on AHM and market needs
Job Requirements
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience Proficient in all MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint with especially strong skills in advanced MS Excel.
- Experience in data analytics preferred.
- Experience in plan development, tracking against results, and developing plan recovery countermeasures.
- Knowledge of Powersports products, supply chain management, and exposure to automotive industry operations and business models is preferred.
- EXPERIENCE IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Strong analytical, written/oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain strong relationships with both intra-department and intra-organization contacts.
