Electrical Applications Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Compensation (Range): $41-43/hr
• Responsible for low voltage electrical system on F150
• Support plant on any Stop ships, campaigns, quality issues.
• Lead V18/V19
• LOW VOLTAGE WIRING & EDS COMPONENTS/ELECTRICAL POWER
• Early Claims Binning/re-binning, read claims, contact dealerships on parts, make HOT requests to ship parts to suppliers for root cause evaluation.
• Manage Quality project inputs, project health, and glidepaths.
• Provide part sign-off's to support builds.
• Review and sign-off Supplier Request for Engineering Authorization.
• Support Plant Material Cost Reduction blitzes.
• Chair/support Electrical Variability Reduction Team meetings.
• Support First Time Through issue resolution at plant.
• Participate in Kansas City-based Vehicle Functional Group and Functional Quality Review meetings when on the agenda.
• Coordinate/Support engineering change trials. Use local supplier rep if available.
• Support fresh eyes reviews on pre-builds.

Job Requirements

• Technical ability to remove and replace parts on vehicles.
• Skills Preferred:
• 6 sigma green or black belt trained.
• Experience Required:
• Minimum. Will work with candidate.
• Education Required: BSME/BSEE
